Ieri 28 settembre 2023 presso la Sala Giovanni Spadolini del Consiglio Regionale della Toscana, a Firenze sono stati assegnati i Premi IN/ARCHITETTURA 2023 per le Regione Toscana, ai progettisti, ai committenti e alle imprese delle opere selezionate.

[…] La giuria composta da: Christiane Burklein (blogger), Patrizia Catalano (giornalista), Tomas Ghisellini (architetto), Paolo Icaro (artista), Junko Kirimoto (architetta), Annick Magner (sogiologa) e Pietro Savorelli Fotografo) ha individuato, tra più di 100 opere candidate, 2 realizzazioni a cui sono stati assegnati i Premi e le Menzioni d’onore.

Non c’è da stupirsi che proprio nel distretto senese della pelletteria, a Radda in Chianti, Celine, griffe del gruppo LVMH, abbia di recente inaugurato la sua seconda manifattura: 4.400 mq di stabilimento, progettati da MetroOffice Architetti nel segno della sostenibilità e dell’efficienza energetica, con materiali riciclabili, 440 mq di pannelli solari sul tetto, luci LED, recupero dell’acqua piovana e una facciata composta da oltre 33mila mattonelle in vetro in grado di garantire il miglior equilibrio tra luce naturale e calore.

Un gioco di aperture sartoriale e sapiente, magistralmente condotto da progettisti che, come abili fotografi, hanno saputo mettere a fuoco il paesaggio ed inquadrarlo, ma anche delicatamente sfocarlo, schermandolo con diaframmi in vetrocemento ove opportuno; riecheggia la Maison de Verre di Pierre Chareau e Bernard Bijvoet, e tutto magicamente risulta aperto ed introverso simultaneamente.

Siamo lieti di annunciare che la Manufacture ha ricevuto la Menzione per il Premio Architettura Toscana PAT per la categoria Nuova costruzione : 

Sul sedime di un edificio industriale dismesso, il nuovo stabilimento produttivo si configura come un manufatto complesso e articolato, che aspira a realizzare un vero e proprio luogo del lavoro, attento ai caratteri del sito e al benessere delle persone. La forte volumetria dialoga con il paesaggio circostante attraverso un artificio tipologico che stacca l’edificio da terra e lo spinge verso il cielo, creando all’interno un ambiente di lavoro completamente illuminato di luce naturale e schermata. Il basamento in cemento fissa saldamente l’edificio al suolo in maniera perentoria e crea un piano artificiale ottimale per il lavoro lasciando completamente aperta la visione verso l’esterno.

The main goal of the project was to favor the view of the artisans towards the landscape, so that they could have constant visual contact with the surroundings. The building is characterized by high quality standards and relatively low construction costs. The architectural choices embrace the identity of the french luxury brand through the use of an essential design.

La Manufacture lays on the Tuscan hills and is divided into rigorous and elegant volumes that interpret its shape. The new building, with 5,200 square meters intended to accommodate 250 artisans, establishes a direct relationship with the Tuscan countryside: its facade’s glass-block walls allow the artisans to enjoy the view of the landscape, receive indirect sunlight, and see the natural progression of the days and the seasons in the workspace.

The production sites are acquiring more and more value as “identity laboratories” of a brand and the presence of Celine in Radda in Chianti seems to confirm the existence of a privileged connection between this Italian area and luxury brands, by virtue of the landscape surrounding and the very high professionalism of the craftsmanship present. In the factory, located outside the industrial areas and inserted in an environment of environmental value, a search for quality, beauty and well-being, a renewed dialogue with the territory and the environment, presents as a new occasion for architectural experimentation.
