The four residential units of Montenero lie in a privileged area for its panoramic position, between the urban jersey at the foot and the sea in the background. The villas, arranged in clusters along the hill, are semi-detached and spread over three floors. The goal of the project was to study a contemporary housing solution sensitive to the potential of the place. The opening towards the horizon thus becomes the origin of the composition and of the choice of large glazed surfaces, like frames on the landscape. Stone and concrete are then alternated according to a plastic language that sees in the overhanging roof and in the internal staircase visible through the façade the elements of best expressive tension.
